Couples Therapy:

You don’t feel hard by your partner.

You and your partner are unable to have healthy communication and or come to a compromise.

You and your partner have arguments resulting in days or weeks going by where neither of you are talking.

You find you and your partner are fighting more times than you get along.

Are there trust issues in your relationship?

Let’s examine these patterns, there are solutions that can repair and strengthen your relationships. I use the Gottman Method for Couples, and I am level two trained in this method. This is an evidenced-based intervention, which means it was researched and studied, and found to be effective in bringing couples closer through effective communications skills and being present in your relationship by knowing yours and your partners world. I can explain this in more detail and how this method may help your relationship. Consider setting up a consultation to discuss further.

About Me:

Thank you for the opportunity to tell you about my practice. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Florida and New York. I also have completed training as a Health and Life Coach.

It all started in high school when I noticed I became interested in why student’s did what they did, their behaviors and their consequences. Since having such a strong interest in human behavior, majoring in Psychology in college just made sense. That started everything, then going on to graduate school at New York University and earning a Master in Social Work, (clinical track), and graduating in 2011. Through internships and volunteer work, I saw clients in many different settings; community mental health centers, day treatment programs, residential programs and an assisted living facility.

During one of my graduate courses, I was asked by one of my professors if I would write a review on the book ‘“After Suicide Loss: Coping with Your Grief” for the journal “Death Studies.” Reviewing this book was significant to my therapy growth, as years later, I was working with mothers of children who have died by suicide. Examining this book with such a thorough lens brought a deeper awareness to the many levels, twists, turns, pains, and empty vessels of suicide.

After receiving my degree and license, I worked at a women’s health center with some on-call work for domestic violence situations at a local hospital E/R.

I reside in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and offer HIPAA compliant zoom telehealth.

In 2018 I began my private practice, seeing patient with anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, social anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, and specialize in couples work, trauma and EMDR.

My style is interactive and goal-oriented. I use evidence-based models to help client work towards their goals. We will focus on overcoming the obstacles that prevent growth and self-awareness, which is necessary to feeling better and improving well-being and quality of life. We will explore relationships and behaviors in an effort to find an appropriate balance. We will examine changing negative behaviors and replace them with positive, life-enriching ones. I may offer homework between sessions, which are designed to foster connection, bring about more understanding on the skills we worked on in session.
