Welcome to My Practice

I believe my path to becoming a therapist started back in my high school years — I noticed I was drawn to understanding why people do what they do. I started noticing classmates and other students' behaviors and their consequences. That curiosity stayed with me.

It led me to major in Psychology, earn my Master of Social Work from New York University (clinical track, 2011), and spend years working in community mental health clinics, day treatment programs, residential treatment, and eventually private practice — which I opened in 2018.

What I've learned through all of it: work is done at your pace and growth and healing may happen in small steps, in a leap(s) and or in an Ah-Ha moment(s).\

My Approach

My style is interactive and goal-oriented. I use evidence-based models to help clients work towards their goals — focusing on overcoming the obstacles that prevent growth and self-awareness, which is necessary to feeling better and improving well-being and quality of life.

With each client, we examine behaviors and how they affect interactions with family, work, friends, and intimate relationships. We work towards changing negative behaviors and beliefs that can hold you back — and replacing them with positive, life-enriching ones.

Homework may be given between sessions to help foster understanding of the skills learned and reduce conflicts or negative habits in the areas we're working on. Everything is done at your pace.

A Little More About Me

When I'm not working, I enjoy being in nature — going for walks and biking, reading, being with family and friends, meditating, practicing yoga, and listening to different types of music. If you're curious about working together, consider setting up a free 15-minute consultation. I would be happy to discuss your goals and answer any questions you may have.
